Vice President of Digital Marketing

Chatterson

  • Launched the digital department from zero, building B2B full-funnel marketing channels and taking the agency from concept to a growing client base.
  • Operating as a true player-coach — personally leading SEO strategy, business development, and channel management while building the team and systems around it.
  • Integrating AI systems that improved operational efficiency and client performance, growing the client base by 25% with no additional headcount.
  • Built and shipped an AI visibility audit tool (aivisibilityaudit.chatterson.co) delivering AEO and SEO recommendations — one of the first of its kind at the agency level.

  • Tasked with building the marketing agency of the future.
  • Designed the innovation, experimentation, and go-to-market process, and established a culture with a pipeline to evaluate ideas from anyone at the company.
  • Supported the creation of a content-creation AI agent that cut contractor costs by over 50%.
  • Advised the leadership team on where to deploy resources to keep the agency innovating in the right direction.

  • Grew the department from 10 to 31+ employees with less than 3% turnover during my tenure.
  • Led Marketing Science (Paid Media), SEO, Email, Marketing Automation, Organic Social, and Reporting.
  • Supported 3 external agency acquisitions and mergers.
  • Drove 30%+ YoY revenue growth while exceeding the 65% gross margin profitability target.
  • Oversaw execution and management across a portfolio of 1,000+ clients.

Director of Digital Marketing & eCommerce

SAXX Underwear

  • Led the digital marketing team and exceeded all eCommerce sales targets.
  • Acted as the digital marketing stakeholder on the CDP integration with Segment.
  • Owned the full eCommerce stack — Google, Facebook, SEO, Email, SMS, Affiliate, OTT, CTV, and Podcast — measured against CAC and ROAS.
  • Ran a disciplined brand awareness experiment in Houston and Miami, tracking brand lift, recall, search volume, and conversion over six months to prove the LTV case for upper-funnel investment.
  • Refocused acquisition strategy on customer quality and lifetime value over short-term CAC.

  • Created, built, and led the internal marketing team, reporting directly to the President.
  • Built all team processes, KPI reporting dashboards, and accountability charts.
  • Surpassed stretch revenue and lead targets in the first quarter of team inception.
  • Launched paid media, social, and email channels for all 5 brands within the first quarter.

  • Led the Calgary digital marketing team responsible for 10+ clients, each with $2M+ in annual online revenue.
  • Oversaw performance across paid media, SEO, and CRO.
  • Took a new client from a basic paid retainer to a full program — CRO, persona mapping, in-house creative, promo strategy, and SEO — in 6 months.
  • Led data-first strategy presentations and ongoing client reporting that drove real change.

Content & Growth Marketing Lead

Swoop Airlines

  • First marketer hired before the airline launched; helped scale to a $150M+ business and over one million passengers.
  • Co-developed brand positioning that deliberately differentiated Swoop from WestJet — an ultra-low-cost, unapologetic brand.
  • Led website CRO, increasing revenue by $7.5M+ annually from A/B tests in 2019; RPU grew from $19.09 to $25.15 in a year.
  • Built the promotional tiering system with the revenue team — a points-based framework giving sales clear levers while keeping marketing fast.
  • Grew the email channel from 5K to 130K subscribers with open and click rates 5x industry average, driving $17M in revenue.
  • Built the initial Swoop Google Ads channel and managed the external agency that scaled it.
